RESTAURANT GUINGUETTE

Good. Simple. Homemade.

In the greenhouse planted by our botanist friend Claude Figureau and the students of the Kerplouz d’Auray agricultural school, La Belle Folie – a proper restaurant in Carnac / Ploemel – is cooking up market cuisine. Inspired by the recipes of our grandmothers. Drawing on our travel memories. On the menu: seafood and earthly pleasures. Local and seasonal.


Oysters with ginger jus, chicken with cider, langoustines flambéed with four spices… or crêpes Suzette. Some vegetables, heritage or unknown, for discovery. Aromatic herbs, too, grown in our vegetable patch. Then it is ready to serve. A Simple Menu. Fish, meat and vegetarian dish of the day. Two starters, two desserts. And some tapas.

Order at the counter and settle in. Here, we eat in a family style, at shared large tables. Or if you prefer in a more intimate setting. And even in the cabins thanks to the baskets to take away!

Packed meals and picnic baskets available for the whole accommodation range. Clients can thus take full advantage of the accommodation modules, during lunch or dinner. The opportunity to soak up the amazing architecture and take the time to discover it, comfortably installed on the terrace in summer or by the stove in winter. In order to meet varied demand, three ranges of packed lunches are available. In the same spirit as the restaurant’s cuisine, all of the dishes are home-made with fresh, quality, local products.

Panier apéritif for 2 people : 29€

Includes a bottle of Muscadet (white wine) or Gamay rouge (red wine) from the Domaine des Génaudières and a cheese and chorizo plate perfect to eat with the home made bread !

Panier diner for 2 people : 58€

Includes some vegetarian sea toast, a cheese and chorizo plate, a fresh vegetables bowl, some chicken rillettes from a local productor the Picarda House perfect to eat with the home made bread ! Finally a chocolat fondant for the dessert to relish with a bottle of Muscadet (white wine) or Gamay rouge (red wine) from the Domaine des Génaudières.

Panier diner festif for 2 people : 95€

Includes some duck foie gras from a local productor the Picarda House, some vegetarian sea toast, a cheese and chorizo plate, a fresh vegetables bowl perfect to eat with the home made bread ! Finally a chocolat fondant for the dessert to relish with a bottle of Belle Folie (sparkling white wine) from the Domaine des Génaudières.

A simple menu

From independent and passionate producers!

Because you can’t have one without the other! Red wine with sausages from Toto, our butcher friend. White wine with the plate of clams. Fruity, full-bodied, sweet, generous, sparkling… At La Belle Folie, we love good wines. The menu is minimalist, but the selection rigorous. With passionate winemakers, with the aim of discovering areas whose values we share. Sip a drink from aperitif hours onwards, in a “guinguette” style atmosphere.


Beers, cocktails and house specialities complete the range.

A simple and quality menu, in keeping with our cuisine. Note to lovers of a substantial aperitif: starters and tapas are served from 5 pm.

Among our recommendations, try the wines of the Génaudières domaine, which includes… La Belle-Folie! And do not hesitate to share your recommendations with us.
